Call for Proposals for the Artistic Calendar 2025

 

In line with Pjazza Teatru Rjal’s strategic vision – that of building upon the site’s unique qualities whilst continuing to enhance its cultural calendar with top quality performances – the theatre is launching a Call for Proposals for the Artistic Calendar of 2025 (from January to December).

 

Individuals, theatre/dance/performance companies, cultural entities, private organisations or others who are interested in putting up productions at Pjazza Teatru Rjal during the calendar year 2025 are being invited to send their proposals by hand or by registered mail to The Director, Casa Cassar, Triq il-Vittorja, Valletta VLT 1050 or by email on [email protected] by not later than Saturday 31st August 2024.

 

The proposal shall include:

 

·        Event Title

·        Description

·        Name of Organisation

·        Organisation Address

·        Contact Number

·        VAT Number

·        V.O. Number (if applicable)

·        Website

·        Contact Person

·        Position

·        E-mail

·        Mobile Number

·        Venue: Theatre/Green Room

·        Type of event: choose from Classical Music, Classical Ballet, Drama, Pop Concert, Modern Dance, Musical, Rock Concert, Song Contest, Opera or Other (please specify)

·       Type of Production: (please specify if the organisation will be the sole producer of the event or if the organisation is proposing a co-production with PTR) 

·     Proposed dates and time for event

·        Artistic biography or portfolio

·        Rehearsal Schedule

·        Technical rider, details of contractors (sound, light…) and stage plan

·        Other supporting material you might deem appropriate

 

All applications will be acknowledged and treated in the strictest confidence. Special weighting will be given to applications that satisfy the following criteria: 

 

·        applicant’s portfolio; 

·        artistic and/or educational and/or social content; 

·        effective use of space and resources; 

·        innovation; 

·        legacy; 

·        and marketing plan.


Decisions will be communicated individually to the selected applicants together with an estimation of costs related to the rental of the venue. The decisions of the Board will be deemed final and undisputable. This will be followed by a production meeting to conclude all relevant details ahead of the drawing up of the formal agreement.
