The Hungarian composer Franz Liszt is, perhaps, equally remembered for his charm and colourful personal life as much as for his dazzling virtuosity and compositions for piano. Some of these works are not entirely original but, rather, very clever adaptations of the works of other great composers. Italian pianist Ludovico Troncanetti will perform some of Liszt’s most notable paraphrases of works by Verdi, Gounod, and Mendelssohn.
